The Health-Conscious Way To Pop

What is Beef Tallow?

Beef tallow is a cooking fat rendered from beef suet.

Why Use Beef Tallow?

We use beef tallow for a number of reasons.

High Heat Stability

Tallow has a high smoke point, which means it doesn’t produce harmful compounds easily when heated.

No Seed Oil Oxidation Byproducts

Seed oils are high in polyunsaturated fats which are prone to oxidation when heated.  These fats can lead to inflammation and oxidative stress.

Nutrient Profile

Tallow naturally contains fat soluble vitamins such as vitamin E and vitamin K2.  It is also rich in linoleic and palmitoleic acids which provide anti-inflammatory and metabolic benefits.

Hormonal & Metabolic Support

The saturated fats in beef tallow maintain cell membrane integrity and support steroid hormone production.  These fats provide steady energy source without spiking insulin levels.

Flavor & Satiety

Tallow gives a rich flavor without the need for butter.  It can also increase satiety helping to feel full sooner and possibly eat less.

Does Tallow Pop Taste Like Beef?

No, but it does give our popcorn a richer flavor than seed oils.

Does the Tallow Make the Popcorn Heavier?

No, we use a small amount of tallow which produces a flavorful but lighter popcorn.

What Kind of Tallow Do You Use?

We use a grass-fed, non-GMO beef tallow.

What Kind of Corn Do You Use?

We use 100% organic, non-GMO corn.
